ANXIETY and STRESS – - A Chinese herbal prescription As you know, anxiety is a complicated condition brought on by various problems of life. It would be nice if I could write a prescription to make all your problems go away. However, you know that I don’t have that kind of power, especially in financial matters, personal relationships, job security, or business dealings. Nevertheless, I can help you reduce the physical stress that anxiety brings. Anxiety throws your body out of balance. As a result, various physical problems tend to surface and resurface, such as indigestion, overeating, sleep difficulty, migraines, skin rash, burst of temper, energy drain, etc. The prescription should help your body achieve the balance that has been lost. How? Balance is a delicate thing. You can only restore it by gently nourishing the major organs back to their normal conditions. When they become stronger, they will be able to find their own way to balance without you having to tell them how. As a result, you will feel much better overall. The Chinese approach to anxiety is to nourish, moisten, and soothe. The word is 潤, pronounced as “ren”, for which I cannot find an English word similar in meaning. The prescription should basically be a combination of gentle nourishing for all major organs and the Yin. 1) Liver Bai Shao 白芍Gou Qi Zi 枸杞子2) Lungs Bai He 百合Jie Gen 桔梗3) Heart Zao Ren 棗仁Wu Wei Zi 五味子4) Stomach Bai Zhu 白朮Dang Shen 党參5) Kidneys Qian Shi 芡實Jin Qian Cao …

How long do you drink that tea?
You drink one cup a day for 2 weeks initially to see if it helps. Then wait for a week or so to see how you do without the tea.
If you do better, you may not have to drink it until you slide back into the previous condition.
If you cannot see any difference. You may have to continue drinking and see if the tea will bring any good results. The ingredients will have to be changed to bring you better results.

Any herbal store in Chinatown.
thanks..this video really helps a lot
and the advice at the end too.. really needed that
The Dang Shen shown in your video looks much bigger than what my local Chinese Herb shop sells. Their Dang Shen is sold as lots of small lengths. Are the larger roots better quality and more effective?
Better quality usually means more effectiveness. By how much, I don’t know.
Nice Video. Check out TubeViews (dotnet) If you need your video exposed, It has really helped me a bunch. Be blessed!
I like what i watched.
how do you prepare it
The traditional way is to boil and simmer the herbs in water for about one half. Then drink the solution. Throw away the boiled herbs.
One cup of solution a day is good enough.
thanks,,,, also how much do you put in does it matter,,,,cheers
Of course it does matter.
Normally, use no more than 10 grams for each herb in the package.
very good for all students who study and work long hours

are all these herbs adaptogen?
Please help me understand what you mean by “adaptogen”.
@askjohnfung you know….. adaptogen herb, it’s a herb that balancing your body Qi and assist in reducing stress . its hard to explain it but if you type ” adaptogen ” on google it will tell you what it is. make sure to click on a wiki link
So adaptogen is a brand name.
There are millions of brands out there coming out everyday. I don’t have the time to keep up. So the answer is, I don’t know. Sorry!
@askjohnfung An adaptogen is a phytonutrient that has the amazing ability to help normalize or adapt the bodys physiologic functions to a higher rate of functioning, regardless of the persons current health status . Adaptogens are able to take you from where you are, so to speak, and then help move you to the next level. This action is thought to be mediated via the hypothalmic-pituitary-adrenal axis, the pathway linked to longevity.
You’re trying to look at ancient Chinese medicine through the prism of modern science, and interprete it from a Western viewpoint.
I don’t do it the way you do.
So I still cannot answer your question about adaptogen. Sorry again!
